During the first semester of the third year I was given the freedom to choose a topic in which I could further deepen my understanding and skills on it. The topic I chose was Level Design, with World Design as an extra assignment on the side. As the minor allowed me to be quite free in my decision on how to tackle the chosen topic I decided I wanted to create a demo for a small exploration game, similar in vibe to something like Little Kitty, Big City.
The game demo includes a main world for the player to explore alongside levels set in different areas to complete. The core aspect of the game is simple, allowing the player to wonder the world and obtain collectibles and perform tasks. There is an overarching goal for the player which is linked to a story that plays on in the game.
As the player you are hosting a party and want as many of your friends to show up as possible. On your way to the party, however, you notice that a lot of animals need your help to be able to get to the party on time! It's your task- no, your DUTY, to make sure as many animals can be at the party at once! But it seems some cliques have formed and there's something else going on at the same time... Can you figure out what's going on?
